Racing Assocation Races (ABRA)
April through December
From April to December ABRA runs dozens of bicycle
races in western Pennsylvania and northern West
Virginia. In the spring and summer you'll find a variety
of mountain bike and road races in their schedule.
October brings the start of their cyclocross racing
series, the regions most extensive with at least 10
races over the past couple seasons. You can

Month of Mud Mountain Bike Races
September and October
In 2011, the Month of Mud celebrated it's 23rd year.
Western Pennsylvania's longest running mountain bike
race series consists of 4 to 6 races of varying
difficulty and distances. Check out their webpage for

Scott Lawson Benefit Ride at Tomlinson Run
State Park in West Virginia Saturday,
November 12th, 2011
On October 3rd, 2011 Scott was riding his bike near
his home on WV Rt 8 when he became the victim in a hit
and run. He's already undergone several extensive
injuries and is expecting a lengthy healing process.
Several of Scott's friends have organized this
ride to raise funds to help him and his family through
this difficult time. Tomlinson Run State Park is near
New Manchester, WV. Riders will be meeting at the pool
parking lot near the main entrance to the
park.
Dirty Dozen Bike
Race

The 29th annual Dirty Dozen will
take you up the 13 steepest hills in Pittsburgh. All
types of bikes are welcome to come out and struggle for
50 miles of extremely challenging bike riding. The
organizers strongly suggest lightweight road
bikes with very easy gearing. Check out the

Another chance to show Scott that the cycling
community supports it's own. There will be raffle and
auction items donated from several local business
including West Liberty Cycles. Please stop in and show
your support. For those unavailable to attend either
